As Northwestern aims for their third win in a row to start the B1G season, they’ll also be showing respect to the military with their helmets.
With Veterans Day approaching on Nov. 11, Northwestern will don special helmets with the American flag inside the block “N” logo for their Week 3 matchup against visiting Nebraska (11 a.m. CST/BTN).

Northwestern routed Maryland 43-3 in Week 1 and followed that up with a narrow 21-20 victory at Iowa.
Anchored by Isaiah Bowers and Drake Anderson, the Northwestern offense has been outstanding in the running game, averaging 234 yards and amassing 7 touchdowns.
Nebraska (0-1) was handled 52-17 by Ohio State in its season opener and then had their Week 2 game cancelled due to a COVID-19 outbreak at Wisconsin.
Nebraska leads the all-time series 8-5. In last season’s meeting, Nebraska edged Northwestern 13-10.
It’ll definitely be fun to see how things shake out as Northwestern puts their undefeated record against well-rested Nebraska.
