Two fractured ribs are not enough to sideline former Wisconsin backfield star Alec Ingold, the Las Vegas Raiders fullback planning on playing against the Denver Broncos.

Ingold hurt his ribs this past Sunday in the Raiders game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The injury was so bad that he was immediately taken to the hospital where he watched the second half of the game from a bed.

The injury is painful and yet here is Ingold, not only able to play this weekend but also already cleared for practice. That is one tough football player.

Despite receiving limited carries this season, Ingold is an important part of the Raiders offense. He is an underappreciated receiver out of the backfield with nine catches for 97 yards so far this season. He is also an important blocker in certain situations.

In a Week 7 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Ingold played a season-high 36 percent of snaps on offense. He is also a regular contributor on special teams.

In his second year in the league, Ingold played both running back and fullback during his career at Wisconsin.
