Friday night will feature the battle for the Floyd of Rosedale trophy, when Iowa travels across the border to take on Minnesota for the rights to the prize.

Since 1935, the two programs have squared off for the trophy, and the rivalry dates back to 1891.

Minnesota leads the series 62-49-2 overall, but when the prospect of keeping the bronze pig-shaped trophy is factored in, the Gophers edge drops to 42-41-1.

While Minnesota is looking to break a five-game losing streak to the Hawkeyes, both teams are coming off notching their first wins of the 2020 season and are looking to build on that momentum.

With all the hype surrounding the rivalry, the Gophers have added some fuel to the fire releasing a new hype video on Thursday to get the blood flowing.

Friday night’s kickoff is set for at 7:00 PM EST on FS1.
