Iowa wasn’t holding back after this one.
The Hawkeyes cruised to a 35-7 win over rival Minnesota on Friday night, making it six-straight victories in the head-to-head series. And after the dominant performance from the Hawkeyes, the football program’s social media page had a little fun of its own.
In a post on Twitter shortly after the score was final, Iowa had took a jab at Minnesota’s “Row the Boat” mantra by propping up its lengthy winning streak vs. the Gophers.
“The Row’d To Six Straight,” Iowa wrote on social media.
As you can imagine, that went over pretty well among Iowa fans on Friday night.

Iowa was in control the entire game, building a 14-0 lead at half and pouring it on heavy in the fourth quarter. The Hawkeyes outscored the Gophers 21-7 in the final quarter, with Minnesota’s lone touchdown coming with just a few seconds left in the game.
With rivalry games, things get a little chippy usually. This time it happened on social media, as well as on the field.
