It was dominance from Wisconsin at Michigan on Saturday night, the type of game that might just change the narrative around the Badgers and their head coach.

Paul Chryst doesn’t get enough credit or buzz, so says ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit after Wisconsin went into Ann Arbor in primetime and rolled out with a 49-11 win. The Badgers were dominant in every aspect of the game, humbling a Michigan team that started the season ranked and is now 1-3.

Wisconsin, with the win, is 2-0 on the year. Chryst is now 54-16 at Wisconsin, having four of the last five seasons ranked in the polls.

Part of the problem for Chryst is that the Badgers play in the less glamorous West Division of the Big Ten. The bigger name programs such as Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan are all in the East Division, giving Wisconsin a bit less attention and lending Chryst fewer shots at making headlines.

And while Wisconsin has never had a losing season under Chryst, they are lacking a conference title to help validate their head coach. Perhaps this year, given all the uncertainty around college football in what has certainly been a wacky season, will be the year that Chryst gets his team over the hump and finally into the College Football Playoff.

Since taking over Wisconsin in 2015, Chryst has led the Badgers to the Big Ten Championship Game on three occasions, only to lose each time.
