We are just one week away from the initial College Football Playoff Rankings which are set to be unveiled on Nov. 24.
Before we get there, ESPN has been hosting a CFP Top 25 preview show each Tuesday throughout the college football season. This week, ESPN’s Playoff Predictor released the odds for four Big Ten teams to reach the College Football Playoff based on two monster matchups this weekend:

If Ohio State beats Indiana, their odds of going to the CFP go up by 6% while if they lose, they go down to just 11%. Now if Indiana wins, their odds go up but by only 10%. A loss for them would be absolutely fatal.
In the other matchup, if Wisconsin beats Northwestern, their odds to make the CFP go up to 62% going into their final few games. That is significant considering the Badgers have only played two games this season due to COVID.
Northwestern still has low odds to make the CFP, since even if they beat the Badgers, they’d still have to go through likely Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship. However, they can improve their odds up to 19% with the win. With a loss though, it’s virtually over for them.
These games can shift a season in the blink of an eye so it’s going to be interesting to see who comes out on top.
