Nebraska will continue its storied rivalry with Creighton, the programs announcing a Dec. 11 meeting between the Big Ten and Big East programs.

Historically, it is one of the tightest rivalries in the nation, with No. 11 Creighton holding a 27-26 advantage over their in-state foe. For Nebraska, the game closes out their non-conference schedule which ends with their strongest tests on Dec. 9 game against Georgia Tech before traveling to Omaha to play Creighton.

Nebraska hopes it will be a bounce-back season in Lincoln following a 7-25 season that saw them go 2-18 in the Big Ten. This past year, Creighton beat Nebraska 95-76 when these two teams met in their respective non-conference schedule.

Last season, Creighton was one of the best programs in the nation, finishing 24-8 with a 13-5 record in conference. They closed out the season ranked No. 7 in the AP Top 25.

It was the highest ever finish in program history.
