Indiana head coach Tom Allen gave an update on a trio of impact players on Thursday morning, all of whom appear to be heading in the right direction in terms of returning to game action ahead of Saturday’s game against Ohio State.
And while Allen wouldn’t commit to the three players being ready and available for this Saturday’s game at the No. 3 Buckeyes, it is a positive step for his program to be welcoming back some much-needed depth and talent. This is a potential statement game for Indiana, 4-0 on the season and ranked at No. 9.

Cam Jones, a junior linebacker, had just a single tackle in Indiana’s win last Saturday at Michigan State as he left early with an undisclosed injury. He was a standout in the season opening win at Penn State with seven tackles.
Inactive last week for unspecified reasons, Caleb Jones could return to the field this week according to Allen. A starting offensive tackle last season, Jones had played all three games this year before being held out last week.
Another undisclosed injury, starting guard Mike Katic has played in two games and could be trending in the right direction this week according to Allen.
