Three B1G programs are still in the running to land a heavily recruited offensive tackle out of Michigan.

On Friday afternoon, 3-star offensive tackle Ru’Quan Buckley out of Grand Rapids, Michigan announced that he had narrowed his list of schools down to five. In the mix are three B1G programs — Michigan State, Minnesota and Nebraska.

Cincinnati and Florida State make up the other two teams still under consideration for Buckley’s commitment. He narrowed the list down from 19 offers during the recruiting process.

Per 247Sports, Buckley is a 6-foot-6, 280-pound offensive tackle. He plays both on the offensive and defensive lines at the high school level and could play either position in college. He ranks as the No. 14 prospect out of Michigan and the No. 579 overall talent in the 2021 recruiting class.

Buckley received offers from three other B1G schools that did not make the cut. Indiana, Michigan and Purdue are no longer in consideration.
