Ohio State was not at its best in the win over Indiana, but the Buckeyes still came away with a crucial win over a top 10 opponent.

In the end, Indiana ran out of time with the last play of the game unable to produce any magic for the Hoosiers. While it was far from Ohio State’s most impressive performance, getting the win still counts as a quality victory over a quality opponent.

On Sunday, Ohio State announced the Players of the Game, starting on the defensive side of the ball. Linebacker Pete Werner and defensive lineman Jonathon Cooper were the nominations with both players registering a sack of quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Cooper was also named to PFF’s National Team of the Week for his efforts.

Offensively, the Buckeyes went with tight end Luke Farrell and wide receiver Garrett Wilson. As a tight end, Farrell was also important in the blocking game, working to clear the way for Master Teague who rushed for 169 yards. Wilson proved to be Fields’ favorite target with 169 yards receiving and two touchdowns:

For special teams, the honor went to Josh Proctor. He turned heads and fired up the team with an electric hit on one Indiana return man in the game.
