Despite one Big Ten football game canceled this weekend, there’s still a decent slate of games currently on the schedule, and there is no shortage of storylines.

If Northwestern is able to beat Michigan State, the Wildcats would punch their ticket to the Big Ten title game. Ohio State is also looking to eventually get there as well as they travel to Illinois.

Here is how ESPN’s SP+ believes these games will shake out:

  • Penn State 29, Michigan 27
  • Iowa 34, Nebraska 19
  • Ohio State 45, Illinois 16
  • Indiana 35, Maryland 23
  • Purdue 37, Rutgers 21
  • Northwestern 24, Michigan State 14

There’s a lot to take in with these results, but again, the SP+ is very bullish on Ohio State. They’re the No. 3 team in the country after all and they should be able to cover the spread against a not-so-good Illinois team.

The SP+ is also predicting that Penn State will get their first win this weekend and that would be much needed for the Nittany Lions. They have never started 0-6 in their program’s history, (this was also their first-ever 0-5 start).

Indiana also looks primed for a bounce-back game as the Hoosiers are predicted to beat Maryland by 12. It would get the Hoosiers to 5-1 on the season going into their last two games.
