Young is now up to 4.5 sacks and 6 tackles for loss in 10 games this season.
Washington selected Young with the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft earlier this year.
Young’s junior season at Ohio State was one of the best in recent memory for a pass rusher. He totaled 16.5 sacks and 21 tackles for loss in 12 games. He also forced an astounding seven fumbles for the Buckeyes.
Washington has struggled at this this year, but Young’s squad is just a half game out of first place in the NFC East entering play on Thursday.
Young’s former college teammate, Terry McLaurin, is also making big plays for Washington on Thursday.
Washington holds a 17-13 lead at the half.
