Iowa had some fun on and off the field on Friday.

After the Hawkeyes’ 26-20 win over Nebraska on Black Friday, Iowa’s social media team put out a graphic of a “receipt” for the lease renewal of the Heroes Trophy.

Here’s the post:

There’s plenty of subtle and not-so-subtle digs at the Huskers in there. The receipt notes this is Iowa’s sixth straight win over Nebraska and identifies the tax value as “priceless.”

Nebraska’s lead in the all-time series history of this game has dwindled to 29-19-3.

Iowa’s defense held the Huskers to zero fourth-quarter points and just seven in the entire second half.

Quarterback Spencer Petras and running back Tyler Goodson were the main contributors. Goodson rushed the ball 30 times for 11 yards.

The Hawkeyes have now won four straight games after getting off to a rough start with two narrow losses to open the season.

Meanwhile, Nebraska is now 1-4 on the season with its lone victory coming against winless Penn State. The Huskers still have winnable games remaining against Purdue and Minnesota.

Iowa faces Illinois on the road next week.
