Scott Frost blames Nebraska’s bad snaps on claps from Iowa’s sideline

Nebraska had some issues snapping the ball during its 26-20 loss to Iowa on Friday, and Huskers coach Scott Frost has a theory.
Frost told reporters in his postgame press conference that the issues had to do with Iowa’s sideline clapping at specific times to confuse Nebraska center Cameron Jurgens.
Frost said the issues with the snaps today didn't "have anything to do with technique."
Said there was clapping from Iowa coaches on the sideline and that threw Jurgens off. Said they talked with officials at half and it didn't happen in the 2H. #Huskers

According to Frost, the issue was fixed after the Huskers’ staff talked with officials at halftime.
However, it’s not clear how clapping could cause Jurgens to snap the ball over the quarterback’s head.

Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz was also dismissive of the idea that the Hawkeyes’ sideline was to blame for the errors.

Iowa has now won six straight meetings vs. Nebraska, including three in a row over Frost. The Huskers hold the all-time series record 29-19-3.
The Hawkeyes have won four straight games after two narrow losses to open the season. It’s possible they’ll be in the mix for a NY6 bowl game if they win out.
On the other side, Nebraska is 1-4 and will need to win out to avoid going below .500 for the fourth straight season.
