Rutgers has nearly evened things up against Purdue.

The Scarlett Knights are playing with backup quarterback Artur Sitkowski due to an injury to starter Noah Vedral.

So far, so good. After falling behind 7-0 to the Boilermakers, Sitkowski responded with this touchdown pass:

However, Rutgers missed the ensuing extra point so Purdue still leads 7-6.

That’s Shameen Jones on the other end. That’s Jones’ second touchdown catch of the year, setting a career high for a single season.

The throw was also Sitkowski’s first touchdown pass of the season. He entered the game 9-of-13 for 62 yards this season. He started this game 7-f0r-8 for 55 yards.

Rutgers is coming off a triple overtime loss to Michigan last week. Purdue also got beat a week ago in controversial fashion against Minnesota.
