Melvin Gordon to play wildcat? Denver Broncos will play Sunday without any quarterbacks

Melvin Gordon could find himself in an interesting situation on Sunday.
His team, the Denver Broncos, will be forced to play Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints without a quarterback.
All three of Denver’s quarterbacks — Drew Lock, Brett Rypien and Blake Bortles, have reportedly been ruled ineligible to play in the game after possibly being exposed to COVID-19.
That’s according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Broncos will not be forfeiting, per source.

This is obviously unchartered territory for an NFL team. It’s unclear how Denver will handle this, but going with a wildcat formation seems to be the consensus at the moment.
Enter Gordon, who is in his sixth NFL season out of Wisconsin. Gordon is one of three running backs who typically gets playing time for Denver. He has 523 yards and six touchdowns so far this season.
Gordon has never attempted a pass in the NFL or in college.
Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman will also see the field plenty on Sunday. Freeman is currently pegged as the team’s emergency quarterback and could see most of the time under center if the Broncos don’t find an alternative.
