After missing a second game in three weeks due to COVID-19, Ohio State is dropping in the polls.
The Buckeyes are just 4-0 with only two weeks remaining in the Big Ten’s regular season. As a result, Ohio State dropped behind Clemson in ESPN’s latest power rankings.

Ohio State could be in danger of falling even further. If the Buckeyes don’t play their next two games, they won’t be eligible for the Big Ten Championship Game. An undefeated Ohio State team with only five or six wins would create a serious dilemma for the College Football Playoff committee.
OSU still has Michigan State and Michigan remaining on the schedule.
Here’s where the rest of the Big Ten falls in these power rankings:
- No. 11 Indiana
- No. 16 Northwestern
- No. 18 Wisconsin
- No. 24 Iowa
Northwestern was upset by Michigan State over the weekend, giving the Wildcats their first loss of the year.
Iowa enters the top 25 after its fourth straight win — at 26-20 victory over Nebraska. It was the Hawkeyes sixth consecutive win in that rivalry series.
