Maybe he cares, maybe he doesn’t. Whatever one thinks of Jim Harbaugh, one can’t deny he goes to the beat of his own drum.

A lot of people have opinions on the antics of the Michigan coach. Some appreciate the passion and revolutionary mind he brings to the sport. Others think he’s making a mockery of it and believe he’s the “most annoying person in college football.”

ESPN tracked down some of college football’s most well-known coaches and asked them the all-important question: What’s one word to describe Jim Harbaugh?

Desktop users can see the whole video here:

Here’s what they came up with (some violated the one-word rule):

Jimbo Fisher, Florida State — “Interesting”

Will Muschamp, South Carolina — “Classic”

Pat Narduzzi, Pitt — “Wow”

Dan Mullen, Mississippi State — “Amusing character”

Dabo Swinney, Clemson — “Eccentric”

Hugh Freeze, Ole Miss — “Very interesting”

Barry Odom, Missouri — “Aggressive”

Mark Richt, Miami — “Exciting”

Kevin Wilson, Indiana — “Different”

Jim McElwain, Florida — (He just shrugged and didn’t say anything)

Bobby Petrino, Louisville — “Pass”

Gus Malzahn, Auburn — “No opinion”

Urban Meyer, Ohio State — “Excellent coach”

Larry Fedora, UNC — “Great for college football”

It might surprise some to see that Meyer called him “an excellent coach.” It shouldn’t, considering the two have been plenty complimentary of each other throughout their limited time as rivals.

And Freeze, who was publicly bashed by Harbaugh for his thoughts on satellite camps, didn’t take the bait. In a way, he summed up what some probably thought of these Harbaugh-based opinions.

Very interesting.
