College Football Playoff Rankings: Ohio State stands firm, 5 B1G teams in top 25 to start Dec.

The second week of the College Football Playoff Rankings are officially out!

It’s been one heck of a wild ride this season and we’re getting closer to figuring out who the top four will be for this year’s CFP. The Big Ten has just completed Week 6 as we start December and it’s still odd to even think about that.

Despite that, the conference still has some very strong teams this season, and that starts with Ohio State. Even though their game against Illinois was canceled, they still have very strong odds to reach the CFP. They play Michigan State and Michigan to close the season out and they’re the only unbeaten team left in the B1G.

Northwestern is still likely to meet the Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship game but they suffered their first setback of the season as they got upset by Michigan State. It dropped the Wildcats to 5-1 on the season, and they still need one more win to clinch the West division.

Elsewhere, Indiana got to 5-1 but they lost star quarterback Michael Penix Jr. in the process with a torn ACL. Iowa also got their fourth win in a row as they survived Nebraska in the final few minutes.
