The Rose Bowl will not allow fans due to COVID-19 restrictions

Fans will be not permitted to attend the Rose Bowl this season due to local COVID-19 restrictions in Los Angeles County and the City of Pasadena.
The Rose Bowl announced that news on Thursday afternoon:
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the state of California, Los Angeles County and the City of Pasadena, spectators will not be allowed to attend the 2021 CFP Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game on New Year’s Day.

In addition to being one of the biggest bowl games each year, the Rose Bowl is also a College Football Playoff semifinal this season.
“While we are disappointed that the Rose Bowl Game will not be played in front of spectators, we are pleased that we are still able to hold the game this year, continuing the 100-year plus tradition of The Granddaddy of Them All,” executive director David Eads said in a press release. “We continue to work closely with health department officials and the Rose Bowl Stadium to provide the safest possible environment for our game participants.”
The Fiesta Bowl has also announced it will not allow fans at this year’s game.
Last season, Oregon defeated Wisconsin 28-27 in the Rose Bowl. Justin Herbert and Brady Breeze were named Co-MVPs.
The 2021 Rose Bowl is scheduled for New Year’s Day. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. PT.
