Nebraska’s Wyatt Liewer topped off an excellent first half for the Huskers with his first career touchdown vs. Purdue on Saturday afternoon.

This play was also Liewer’s first career catch. It was one of three touchdowns the Huskers scored in the first half. Nebraska holds a 27-13 lead heading into halftime.

Liewer is a sophomore from O’Neill, Neb. Prior to this catch and score, his only career statistic for the Huskers was a tackle that he made earlier this season against Illinois.

Here’s how he scored his touchdown:

Quarterback Adrian Martinez was excellent in the first half. He completed 14-of-19 passes for for 134 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for a touchdown.

Liewer and the Huskers are looking for their second win of the season. If Nebraska doesn’t win out, it will suffer its fourth straight year with a record under .500.
