Purdue has looked shaky against Nebraska, but a touchdown by tight end Payne Durham has cut the lead to 14 as the game gets set to start the fourth quarter.

It hasn’t been a great day for the Boilermaker defense or special teams. Nebraska blocked a punt on the first possession of the game and scored 27 first-half points on Saturday.

Fortunately, the offense is trying to battle back behind quarterback Jack Plummer. He led this touchdown drive and found Durham for the score.

It started as just a basic route and short pass from Plummer to Durham. But it was yards after the catch for Durham as he hit the sideline and worked toward the pylon.

Durham’s momentum and two Nebraska defenders nearly knocked him out of bounds but he did just enough to tip-toe the sideline and hit the pylon for the score.

It may still be a tall task, but Purdue cut into the lead a bit:
