The Big Ten’s only ranked matchup in Week 7 has lost a little bit of luster.
Both Wisconsin and Indiana released lengthy inactive lists on Saturday prior to their top-25 battle later this afternoon.
Here’s Indiana’s list of inactives:
IU's full inactive list:
LB Thomas Allen
DB Marcelino Ball
OL Kahlil Benson
WR Da’Shaun Brown
DL Lance Bryant
RB Chris Childers
TE Sam Daugstrup
DL Demarcus Elliott
TE Turon Ivy
DB Raheem Layne
RB Ahrod Lloyd
DL Jalen Mayala
QB Mike Penix Jr.
DB Samuel Slusher
WR Cam Wilson#iufb— Jon Blau (@Jon_Blau) December 5, 2020
Aside from quarterback Michael Penix Jr., the most notable name on that list is defensive lineman Demarcus Elliott. He would have been very useful vs. the Badgers’ run heavy offense.
Penix Jr. is out for the season with a knee injury he suffered last week.
Here’s Wisconsin’s list of inactives:
#Wisconsin pre-game status report for #Indiana game. Starting wideout Danny Davis out again.
NOT AVAILABLE
WR Stephan Bracey
RB Isaac Guerendo
WR Danny Davis
WR Adam Krumholz
CB Semar Melvin
OL Cormac Sampson— Adam Rittenberg (@ESPNRittenberg) December 5, 2020
Perhaps the most notable thing about this list is the lack of quarterback Jack Coan. Last year’s starting QB is suiting up for the first time this season after suffering a foot injury in the offseason.
Not having receiver Danny Davis will also impact the Badgers’ offense. However, receiver Kendric Pryor is expected to play today after missing some time with an injury.
Wisconsin has won 10 straight games vs. the Hoosiers.
Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET and ABC will have the broadcast.
