After the Spartans knocked off Northwestern last week, they ended up coming back down to Earth a little bit.
Ohio State delivered a beatdown on Michigan State earlier today, 52-12 as the Spartans just had no answer for Justin Fields and their offense.
Fields ended up throwing for 199 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 104 yards and adding two more scores on the ground. Trey Sermon also torched the Spartans defense throughout the game as he had 10 carries for 112 yards and a touchdown.
The game was virtually over at halftime as Ohio State was up 28-0. Both Rocky Lombardi and Payton Thorne didn’t have good days at quarterback as they threw for two combined interceptions with no touchdown passes.
Here’s what head coach Mel Tucker had to say after the loss.
