Jonathan Taylor was in beast mode on Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts running back literally carrying half of the Houston Texans defense with him on one run.

With 12:31 left in the first quarter, Taylor took a handoff and plowed through the center of the line, not going down on first contact. Quite the opposite, Taylor ended up needing five defensive players to eventually take him down.

And he finally went down, but not until he had run for a hard nine yards.

He got some help from Le’Raven Clark, the Colts offensive tackle, who helped push (and pull) Taylor along for an extra yard or two.

Taylor was a second-round pick of the Colts, coming off three tremendous seasons at Wisconsin. As a rookie, he’s been solid for the Colts with 518 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Two weeks ago, he had his best outing of his brief NFL career, with 90 rushing yards on 22 carries and 24 receiving yards off of four receptions. He has missed the past two weeks due to COVID-19 protocols.
