Another blowout in The Game? Betting line has Ohio State as a massive favorite over Michigan

The spread for Ohio State’s upcoming game is like something that might be seen for the Buckeyes for an early-season game against, say Eastern Michigan. But not, say, Michigan.
Not that Michigan…the maize and blue. Not the victors valiant. Another Michigan?
Nope. The Wolverines have fallen on hard times this year, a point reflected in a spread that is ridiculous for two teams picked to be battling for a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game. And while Ohio State is No. 3 in Sunday’s AP Top 25 Poll, Michigan, is…well. Yea.
Ohio State is favored by 30 points against Michigan, a tremendous line that says more about the Wolverines’ fall from grace than it does about the Buckeyes right now.

It is the largest spread in the modern history of the rivalry and the largest since at least 1993:

Michigan is 2-4 on the year, having last played two weeks ago in a 27-17 home loss to Penn State.
So far this year, Ohio State (5-0) is 3-2-0 against the spread with an average margin of victory of 23.4, the most in the Big Ten. Michigan is 1-5-0 against the spread.
Ohio State’s greatest spread of the season was -37.5 against Rutgers, a spread which they did not cover in their 49-27 home win.
