One of the biggest rivalry games of the college football season is in serious jeopardy. Due to a COVID-19 outbreak among the football program, Michigan was forced to cancel last weekend’s game against Maryland and could be required to do the same this Saturday against Ohio State.

Because of the current status of the program, Michigan has decided to postpone Jim Harbaugh’s weekly presser until later in the week. Angelique Chengelis of The Detroit News shared a tweet stating that the weekly meeting with reporters will be delayed.

No specific date was provided. There is also no update on the status of the program.

Last week, Michigan said that the earliest it would be able to return to team activities would be Monday, Dec. 7. There’s no word at the moment as to whether or not the Wolverines are in the clear to resume practices or if they’ll have to wait a little longer.

Monday is the earliest we could learn of a “resolution” for when practices can resume.

With Ohio State sitting at 5-0, it needs to play this weekend in order to qualify for the B1G Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 19. If not, the Buckeyes’ College Football Playoff hopes are in jeopardy, as well.

All eyes are on Ann Arbor right now.
