5-star QB, Ohio State commit Quinn Ewers reaches rarified rating for prospects

Quinn Ewers has already committed to the Buckeyes, but he recently achieved an impressively rare ranking as a prospect.
The five-star quarterback made waves when he decommitted from the Texas Longhorns earlier in the season. That decision by itself was not a great sign for Texas head coach Tom Herman as Ewers was a prized recruit out of the Lone Star State.
In time, Ewers announced that he was committing to Ryan Day and Ohio State for 2022, giving the Buckeyes an absolutely loaded class with a year to build onto it. It also furthered the strong work of Ohio State snatching five-star talent out of Texas.
Though Ewers has already committed to the Buckeyes, his rating on the 247 Sports Composite Rankings has only improved. He was recently upgraded to a 1.000 mark, a rating only five other players have ever achieved in the history of the system:
Quinn Ewers is now among the RAREST prospects ever: a 5-star with a 1.0000 composite rating 💪😤
Only other players to reach that milestone are Jadeveon Clowney, Robert Nkemdiche, Rashan Gary, Vince Young and Ernie Sims.@QuinnEwers it's only up from here! pic.twitter.com/J6OxLBU1NG

The NFL results of the players on that list certainly vary, but most of those players were game-changers at the collegiate level. Hopefully Ewers can make an even bigger impact in Columbus.
Here’s a look at Ewers’ highlights:
