Despite loss, Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis continues to break new ground for Hoosiers

Indiana lost a tough game on Wednesday night, falling 69-67 to No. 20 Florida State in overtime on the road.
Hoosiers star Trayce Jackson-Davis had a career night, scoring 25 points and grabbing an astounding 17 rebounds. He was the only Indiana player to reach double figures in points or rebounds.
Perhaps more impressively, he now owns three of the four 25-point, 15-rebound games over the last 25 years of Indiana basketball.
That’s according to ESPN Stats & Info:

Jackson-Davis’s 17 rebounds ties a career high set in the Big Ten Tournament last season against Nebraska. He also scored 11 points and had four blocks in a win over the Huskers.
His two previous games with at least 25 points and 15 rebounds both came last season. The first was vs. Nebraska on Dec. 13, 2019 and the second came at Minnesota on Feb. 19, 2020. Indiana won both games.
According to StatsbyStats, Jackson-Davis accomplished something on Thursday night that hadn’t been done since 2001:

Despite the performance, Jackson-Davis was visibly disappointed after the game. This was his message to Indiana fans on Twitter:

Indiana’s next game is against North Alabama on Sunday.
