The B1G played more than 80 percent of its scheduled regular season games

With five games played on Saturday, the Big Ten Conference’s eight-week regular season officially came to an end once the No. 16 Iowa Hawkeyes’ victory over the Wisconsin Badgers went final.
While the league left themselves no wiggle room by scheduling eight games for each program in an eight-week span, the league’s final game completion numbers could be categorized as successful.

All told, the conference played 46 of their 56 planned contests, a success rate of 82.1 percent.
Three programs – Iowa, the Penn State Nittany Lions, and Rutgers Scarlet Knights – completed their full schedule.
Five schools – the Illinois Fighting Illini, No. 12 Indiana Hoosiers, Michigan State Spartans, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and No. 14 Northwestern Wildcats – played seven games, each dealing with one coronavirus (COVID-19)-related cancelation.
The Michigan Wolverines (2-4), Minnesota Golden Gophers (3-3), and Purdue Boilermakers (2-4) all played six games, while the Maryland Terrapins, No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes, and Wisconsin Badgers were the most impacted, participating in just five games.
Scheduled to hold their Champions Week on December 19, the only released matchup at the time of this article’s publication is Ohio State battling Northwestern in the Conference Championship Game at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium at 12 p.m. ET on FOX.
The other crossover assignments will reportedly be unveiled on Sunday.
