Multiple reports indicate Michigan-Iowa game has been canceled

Rumors of the Michigan vs. Iowa game’s demise were, it turns out, not greatly exaggerated.
With Michigan dealing without significant fallout from COVID-19, Angelique Chengelis is reporting that the game is cancelled. The match-up was supposed to be a part of the Big Ten’s Championship Week.

Iowa, No. 16 in the nation and 6-2 on the season, was set to host Michigan (2-4) in a game that had bowl implications for both programs. Earlier on Tuesday, the game between Purdue and Northwestern was cancelled for the same reason due to COVID-19 protocols.
The game was reportedly in jeopardy as of Monday and it appears that things are trending in such a bad direction that Michigan will cancel four days out from the game.
Michigan had to cancel last Saturday’s game at Ohio State due to COVID-19. It appears that things are truly bad with the pandemic within the Wolverines program, with Bruce Feldman reporting a situation that appears to have gotten quite dire in Ann Arbor.
