Tyler O’Connor’s prettiest pass of the first half on Friday night put six points on the scoreboard for Michigan State.
After sputtering along through the first two quarters, the quarterback found a fading Felton Davis III for a 13-yard touchdown pass that gave the Spartans a 14-0 lead.
The touchdown strike was O’Connor’s first of the 2016 season and the fifth in his career. Davis’s catch capped an eight-play, 57-yard drive. O’Connor completed all three of his passes for 35 yards on the possession.
