College basketball: 7 B1G teams crack latest Associated Press Poll

Seven B1G basketball teams are ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 this week after the conference started recently started playing league games.

Iowa is still the conference’s highest-ranked team, coming in at No. 4 with a 6-1 record. The Hawkeyes dropped their first contest of the season over the weekend, falling to No. 1 Gonzaga. Fran McCaffery’s bunch had been ranked No. 3 in the previous poll.

Wisconsin, Rutgers, Michigan State, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio State were also included in this week’s rankings, meaning that half the conference is represented in the latest poll. Indiana, Purdue, Northwestern and Minnesota all received votes, as well.
