The banter between SEC enthusiasts and B1G supporters is in full swing after the first full Saturday of the college football season. The back-and-forth between the two fan-bases has reached a peak since Ohio State beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl in 2015 and went on to win the national championship.
B1G support was in full-force after unranked Wisconsin stunned no. 5 LSU at Lambeau Field on Saturday afternoon, notching an important win over the SEC. But it wasn’t just the fans who were taking to Twitter after the upset.
Ohio State wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Zach Smith wanted in on the action, too. After the Badgers secured the victory, the Buckeye assistant sent the following message, indicating the B1G is every bit as good as the SEC.
B1G!!!!!! 😈😈😈😈#Shhhhh with that Superiority talk…. 😂🙄

Smith is in his fifth season at Ohio State and has been coaching for the past 12 years. Oddly enough, he’s a 2007 graduate of the University of Florida.
The Buckeyes pummeled Bowling Green on Saturday 77-10. Their first big test comes on Sept. 17, when Ohio State travels to Norman to play Oklahoma.
We’ll see if the tenured assistant will have anything to say after the Buckeyes and Sooners square off in two weeks.
