Former Husker Randy Gregory wins appeal on 10-game suspension

A week before the first week kicks off for the NFL, former Nebraska Cornhusker and current Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory won the appeal of his 10-game suspension for the league’s substance abuse policy.
The news was reported by NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport on Sunday morning.

Gregory was suspended for the first four games of the season after a failed drug test back in February. In July, it was reporter that he violated the league’s substance abuse policy, increasing his suspension to 10 games for the 2016 season.
Winning this appeal means Gregory will be able to suit up for the Cowboys after serving the initial four-game suspension:
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Gregory won the appeal of his 10-game suspension for another violation of the NFL’s Policy and Program on Substances of Abuse, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Gregory will still miss four games thi1s season for a previous violation.
Gregory appeared in 12 games for the Cowboys last season, recording 11 tackles. While at Nebraska, the defensive end tallied 12o total tackles with 29 tackles for loss and 17.5 sacks. In 2014, he was a First Team All-B1G selection and was a Second Team All-American.
