Another one: Penn State loses starting defensive tackle to transfer portal

For the second time today, a Penn State defensive tackle has entered the transfer portal.
Defensive tackle Antonio Shelton is joining fellow lineman Judge Culpepper in testing the transfer waters, according to The Athletic’s Audrey Snyder.

The senior Shelton gained a sixth year of eligibility because of the pandemic. It was initially thought that Shelton might be declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-2, 327-pound Shelton has amassed 13 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and a forced fumble this season. For his career, Shelton has totaled 48 tackles, and 5.5 sacks.
The Columbus, OH native graduated from Penn State in December 2019 with a degree in broadcast journalism. Shelton arrived at Penn State as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports.
Penn State began the season with five consecutive losses but closed out its slate with four victories in a row.
