Families will be allowed to attend marquee Christmas Day game between Michigan State and Wisconsin

The Breslin Center in East Lansing will not be completely empty when No. 12 Michigan State hosts No. 9 Wisconsin on Christmas Day.
Michigan State will be allowing families of the players for both schools in the arena for the game, according to Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press.

According to Solari, head coach Tom Izzo indicated some parents will be allowed in the arena on Friday:
“Coach Tom Izzo said some parents will be permitted to attend No. 11 MSU’s game against No. 9 Wisconsin, thanks to changes last week in the state health department’s COVID-19 restrictions. Badgers players’ families also will be allowed.”
This is great news for MSU as this is the first time families can be in the stands for a game since the program’s football game against Indiana. That game was played on Nov. 14 as the Spartans ended up losing, 24-0.
Going into this game against the Badgers, the Spartans are 6-1 with their lone loss to Northwestern, 79-65. For the Badgers, they come into it at 7-1 with their lone loss to Marquette, 67-65.
Both teams are early contenders in the B1G and are looking for an early signature win in conference play. Friday’s tip is set for 12:30 pm EST on FOX.
