Wisconsin pulled the upset of the weekend on Saturday when the Badgers took down then No. 5-ranked LSU. Since then, the Badgers went from unranked to No. 10 in the Associated Press’ top-25 poll.

With the great defensive performance, holding LSU to just 14 points (seven of which came off an interception by LSU’s defense), junior inside linebacker Jack Cichy was named the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week for his performance. Cichy recorded a team-high eight tackles and forced a fumble in the 16-14 victory.

Outside of just receiving the award, the Badgers also received a $1,000 donation to its general scholarship fund thanks to the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation, who is the sponsor of the Lott IMPACT Trophy. The trophy is given annually, recognizing athletic performance and personal character attributes.

According to uwbadgers.com, “It is given annually to the player who exhibits the same IMPACT characteristics Lott embodied during his distinguished career: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.”

The 13th Lott IMPACT Trophy presentation will be held on Dec. 11.
