Dicaprio Bootle is moving on, revealing his decision on Tuesday to enter the 2021 NFL Draft.

Bootle had an interception in 2020 with the Huskers and was tied for the team lead with five pass breakups. He also had 25 total tackles.

In his note on social media, Bootle called coming to Nebraska “the best decision I have ever made” before thanking those involved in his career:

“None of this would be possible without my amazing family, teammates, coaches, and of course everybody else that has been involved,” wrote Bootle.

Here’s his farewell:

For his career, Bootle finishes with 110 total tackles, 1.5 TFL, and an interception. He was disruptive in coverage, compiling 26 passes defended while also forcing two fumbles.

Bootle played four seasons for the Huskers and appeared in at least eight games every season. Now, he will pass on the extra year of eligibility and move onto the NFL.

Best of luck to Bootle as he makes the move into the next phase of his career!
