Mayonnaise may have broken the internet.
Ahead of today’s Duke’s Mayo Bowl pitting Wisconsin against Wake Forest, the sponsor of the game showed off how players will hydrate on the sideline. Clearly, there will be water in there, right? Or maybe some sort of deliciously-flavored sports drink?
Right?
But social media — Twitter in particular — is taking a new path. It seems that a large majority of people think there could be mayo in that large bucket. And, depending on taste buds, people either really, really want to see a bucket of mayonnaise dumped on the winning head coach, or they’re going to be repulsed by seeing it.
Either way, the internet had a wide array of responses to the tweet from the Duke’s Mayo Bowl:
I’ll take “Nah, fam” for $1000, Alex! https://t.co/0PfnG4JNlO

You, failing to imagine new possibilities: i hope they dump this on the winning coach
Me, an innovator: make both coaches fill wine glasses with this spout and sip it throughout the game https://t.co/tdeuTmvWA5— Ryan Nanni (@celebrityhottub) December 30, 2020
Wisconsin would be totally cool with this if it was ranch dressing though https://t.co/cbG2Oi18I3
