Here’s his top 12: Penn State, Texas, Iowa State, Notre Dame, LSU, Ohio State, Nebraska, Missouri, Clemson, Iowa, Wisconsin and Arizona State.
Nwankpa is a 4-star prospect and the No. 76 overall player in the class of 2022, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. The composite also has him as the No. 7 overall safety in the country and the No. 1 player in the state of Iowa.
It’s too early to project where Nwankpa will end up, but he’ll surely be a high-priority target for the Hawkeyes. He’s from Altoona, Iowa, and would be a major addition to the Hawkeyes’ 2022 class.
If Nwankpa decides to leave the state, he’ll have plenty of high-profile options including several blue bloods — Ohio State and Notre Dame among them.
