Whop Philyor continued his impressive season (and career) at Indiana on Saturday, the wide receiver joining some pretty rarified air around the program.
The senior wide receiver became just the tenth Hoosier to ever get 2,000 receiving yards in his career. He did so in the first quarter of Indiana’s Outback Bowl game against Ole Miss.
The Hoosiers are 6-1 and come into the game ranked No. 11. Ole Miss is 4-5.
Congratulations, @SuperstarWhop!

It is a bit of a disappointing match-up for Indiana, who had hopes of making one of the New Year’s Six bowl games given their truly outstanding season. The Hoosiers only loss of the season came at Ohio State, a 42-35 loss early in the season.
And given that Ohio State just walloped Clemson in the College Football Playoff semifinal on Friday night, it seems that the argument for Indiana to be in a more high-profile match-up is certainly legit.
Now, as for Philyor, he came into the postseason with 36 catches for 414 yards with three touchdowns in seven games for Indiana.
