Chase Young continues to make an impact for Washington, looking to lead the team to a playoff appearance with a win on Sunday.

Facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles, Young and the Washington defense are facing an offense that has looked very different under Jalen Hurts. The rookie quarterback has replaced Carson Wentz and proven to be an effective passer and dual-threat with his running ability.

On this play, Hurts ran what appeared to be a read-option. With Young barreling into the backfield and onto the running back, Hurts pulled the ball and kept it.

Unfortunately, Hurts severely underestimated the quickness and agility of Young. For his size, Young has proven to be incredibly fast and reacted to the play beautifully.

He buried Hurts on the play for a big loss:

Entering Sunday, Young had 42 total tackles, 9 QB hits, 9 TFL, 6.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries. Though he has not posted a huge sack number, it is the quickness and elite first step Young flashed on this play that should yield him plenty of numbers in his career.
