Reece just wrapped up his redshirt junior season with Indiana, but has played sparingly over the course of his career. He’s appeared in just eight games over the last three seasons, recording nine total tackles in that span.
He did make one tackle in Indiana’s upset win over No. 16 Wisconsin earlier this season.
While the Hoosiers certainly don’t want to lose depth in the trenches, Reece’s production should be replaceable next season.
Reece was a 3-star prospect in the class of 2017, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Indiana had one of its best seasons in program history this year. The Hoosiers went 6-2, with their only conference loss being a narrow defeat against Ohio State.
IU was as high as No. 7 in the AP Poll, its highest ranking since 1967.
