Purdue is reportedly getting one veteran receiver back for 2021.
According to Tom Dienhart with GoldandBlack.com, fifth-year receiver Jackson Anthrop has made the decision to return for 2021, utilizing the blanket waiver by the NCAA for 2020. That would make 2021 Anthrop’s sixth season with the Boilermakers.

Considering Rondale Moore is likely heading to the NFL, Anthrop could be a nice depth piece for Purdue next season to go with star receiver David Bell.
In 2020, Bell led the Boilermakers with 53 catches and Moore was second on the team with 35. Milton Wright was the only other receiver to crack 20 receptions with 24.
Anthrop did not see a lot of action this season, appearing in two games with three catches for 33 yards. He also had one punt return for 12 yards.
For his career, Anthrop has 95 receptions and 850 yards. He posted 37 catches for 340 yards and a touchdown in 2019 while also carrying the ball 12 times for 48 yards. Though his numbers do not jump off the page, getting a veteran receiver back for 2021 should be a nice addition for the Purdue offense.
