Michigan’s Eli Brooks loses tooth during hard mid-court collision

In case you haven’t heard, B1G basketball can get quite physical sometimes. Michigan’s Eli Brooks experienced that first hand during Wednesday’s game against Minnesota.
On this play, Brooks tried to corral the ball and head out on a fastbreak against the Gophers. Unfortunately, he was met with a hard hit by Minnesota’s Isaiah Ihnen that set Brooks flying.
The hit also knocked one of Brooks’ teeth out and sent it flying. No, really:
Don’t let ’em tell you this isn’t a contact sport.

That’s definitely one way to take one for the team.
That game is now midway through the second half as the Wolverines appear to be on their way to 10-0 on the season and a perfect 5-0 in B1G play as they carry a big lead over the Gophers. Brooks has just two points in the game, but hopefully he’ll be okay without a lot of dental work after this one.
