Tom Brady, at 43-years old, might be playing some of the best football of his life.

Brady’s first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been a success, with former NFL quarterback Phil Simms thinking that Brady has been tremendous this year. Brady, a former sixth round pick out of Michigan, has turned the Buccaneers into a playoff team.

Simms, who was certainly no slouch in the NFL as a quarterback, was raving about the play of Brady this year.

Tampa Bay was 11-5 this season and second in the NFC South. They’ve won their last four games and will play against the Washington Football Team this weekend in the NFC Wild Card.

The Buccaneers hadn’t made the playoffs since 2007. Reports say that Brady will return next year. He’s given plenty of reasons to make that a reality.

There was some thought that Brady wouldn’t find nearly the success with Tampa Bay as he did with the New England Patriots, where he spent his previous 20 seasons in the NFL. In 16 games this season, Brady has thrown for 4,633 yards with 40 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
