Alabama takes final shot at Ohio State in national championship poster

Alabama did a lot of talking with its performance on the field in Miami on Monday night in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. The Crimson Tide rolled to a 52-24 victory over Ohio State to add another title to its trophy case.

But the pummeling on the field isn’t where it ended for the Crimson Tide. The team wanted to take one final shot at the Buckeyes to rub some salt in the open wound.

Alabama shared the image of its game poster following the 28-point win, and it’s pretty clear that a shot was taken at “The” Ohio State University. Take a look at the poster:

“The National Champions.” That probably was just coincidental, right?

Ohio State takes such pride in incorporating “The” into its university name that it’s often subject to the butt of a lot of jokes. And this week, after a 52-24 loss on the biggest stage, there was no exception.

We’ll see if Ohio State will get a shot at revenge next year.
