Meyer has met with the Jaguars several times now, including at least once on Jags owner Shad Kahn’s boat.
The Jaguars’ job is arguably the best available opening during this NFL cycle. The Jags have a solid infrastructure in place and, more importantly, the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
The No. 1 pick is highly-coveted in this cycle, as Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is widely viewed as a generational prospect. There are also several other potential franchise quarterbacks, including Ohio State’s Justin Fields, BYU’s Zach Wilson, North Dakota State’s Trey Lance and Alabama’s Mac Jones.
Meyer has also received interest from the Los Angeles Chargers.
Expect resolution on this matter — one way or the other — soon.
