Urban Meyer appears to be on his way to Jacksonville for a job as the new head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
This is a chance for Meyer to once again be a head coach in the state of Florida as he was previously with the Florida Gators. While he is reuniting with Florida he won’t be reuniting with one of the players who made him most successful in Florida: Tim Tebow.
We learned on Thursday that Tebow is sticking with his current gigs of minor league baseball and football analysis.
“I’m super excited about spring training,” Tebow told TMZ. “So, that’s where my focus kind of swirls right now.”

This seemed farfetched in so many ways. But, honestly, what isn’t farfetched when it comes to TebowMania? We speculate on everything with this guy. Though this seems particularly wild given the fact Tebow hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2012. Even him playing professional baseball seems like a long shot at this point.
Despite this not happening, it’s hard to believe there is much love lost between these two. They were mutually beneficial to each other. Meyer got to win some national championships with Tebow running things at quarterback while Tebow became a college football phenomenon under Meyer that never could put it together at the next level.
